Hello everybody!
My apologies for not being as up to date with this blog as I had intended to be. Turns out that internet access around here is really hard to come by and internet inside of our hotel was not available unless you paid a pretty penny price. Luckily, we found this little place down the street.
Our flight into London-Heathrow went pretty smooth, but we were delayed out of Houston another almost 2 hours before we left the ground, so we were on the airplane for 11 hours total on that connection. I was able to sleep pretty comfortably and watched part of Hotel for Dogs, which was decent. :)
Once we found our hotel, we hit the streets right away to explore. Sleeping was not an option because we needed to get used to the time change, which was 8 hours ahead of you guys, so we began our journey. I wish I could go more into detail on each one of them, but for the interest of very limited time, we saw Big Ben, Abbey Road (where the Beatles dedicated their album and the exact crosswalk they used for the album cover), Buckingham Palace with the changing of the guard, the London Tower, the London Eye, and more. There were McDonalds everywhere! Except over here, they are way more upscale and nice - most of them being more than one story even! And their McFlurrys are amazing to say the least.
Tonight is our last night in Paris (which is 9 hours ahead of you) and tomorrow we are going to Zurich, Italy for part of the day, then off to Rome on an overnight train. I really wish I could go into more detail about everything we have been doing, because it is a LOT, but I only have 2 minutes left on this computer, sadly.
Please pray hard for us. There have been some scary and sketchy things that we have been surrounded by but the Lord is keeping us safe. Pray for our strength and safety as we move into more adventures and that we can get sleep and good food in us!
Love,
Em
