On Sunday, my sister and I get to travel with my uncle, Bob, and his nephew Curtis to Europe for 3 weeks. My uncle has decided to take us because Curt and I just graduated high school, and Katie's trip that was originally planned back in 2006 had been postponed a few times, but it worked out for it to be combined with our trip so that now we can all go together. Below is the itinerary for all of you to see where we'll be day by day if you wish to follow. I will be updating here as much as I am able to while I'm over there to keep you updated.
July 26
Leave Portland at 12:00 PM, travel to Houston, TX, board plane to London-Heathrow airport.July 27
Arrive in London.July 29
Ride the Chunnel to Paris, France.August 1
Overnight train to Rome.August 5
Travel to Florence, Italy.
August 7
Travel to Vienna, Austria and Trieste, Italy.
August 8
Travel to Udine, Italy and back to Vienna, Austria.
August 9
Travel Vienna to Salzburg, Austria.
August 10
Morning tour of the Eagles Nest and Berchtesgaden.
August 11
Travel to Zurich, Switzerland where we will bungee jump from the highest jump in the world!
August 14
Travel from Lucerne, Switzerland to London, through Paris once more.
August 16
Flight home to Portland from London, hitting Chicago and Denver on the way.
As you can see, it will be a very fast-paced and exciting trip. Please pray for our group as we make our way from country to country that we are safe and healthy - medical assistance is hard to come by in comparison with the United States. Also, please pray for the family here in the States that we are leaving behind for them to We are going to have a great time, I have no doubt about it!
